Preparation needed: Gather resources

Resources: Plastic food bags(zip lock is best), flour, baking powder, water, cooking oil, a cup, a stick, camp fire, toppings of your choice.

Age range: early years, primary, secondary, adult

Group size: any

Put all of these ingredients into a zip lock plastic bag, 1 cup of flour, 1 level tsp baking powder, 1 tbsp of cooking oil and 1 cup of warm water.

Close up the bag and knead it with your hands until all of the ingredients are mixed up into a soft ball of dough. When the dough has formed put a clean green stick into the bag and form a ‘sausage’ shape of dough onto the end of the stick and then hold the stick over the campfire hot coals not flames turning frequently for about 10 minutes.

You can eat it as it is or you can spread on some jam or honey or even pesto.
